Flipped Learning Pedagogy

Flipped learning is a pedagogy that is becoming more common in classrooms around the country. Classes are traditionally structured where class time is reserved for the introduction of material, and then educators send the students home to tackle higher-level material. With flipped learning, teachers reverse that model. Students are given structured activities before they come to class, sometimes in the form of recorded lectures from the teacher. Students bring what they learned back to class, where teachers help them with the more complex material in a social setting.
